This page explains the warranty and support process for products purchased from AB RoyalNet Inc., operating as TEKYHOST (“TEKYHOST,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Warranty coverage varies by manufacturer, product, serial number, licence, support entitlement and country.
1. Manufacturer warranties
Most physical products are covered by the manufacturer’s limited warranty rather than a separate TEKYHOST warranty. The warranty period, coverage, exclusions, repair method, replacement process and service location are determined by the manufacturer and may differ between products.
Manufacturer warranty documentation supplied with the product or published by the manufacturer governs its warranty coverage. TEKYHOST will provide reasonable assistance in identifying the appropriate warranty process for products purchased from us.
2. Initial problems and troubleshooting
If a product appears damaged, defective, incomplete or non-functional, contact TEKYHOST as soon as reasonably possible. We may ask you to perform reasonable diagnostic steps or provide:
- Your TEKYHOST order number and purchase date;
- Product name, model and serial number;
- A description of the problem and when it began;
- Relevant error messages, photographs, logs or configuration details; and
- Steps already taken to troubleshoot the issue.
3. Return material authorization
Do not ship a product to TEKYHOST, a distributor or a manufacturer without authorization. The manufacturer or distributor may require a return material authorization (RMA) number and specific packaging, labelling or shipping instructions.
Depending on the product and warranty programme, service may involve remote troubleshooting, depot repair, replacement, advance replacement or direct manufacturer support. Advance replacement is available only where included in the applicable warranty or support entitlement.
4. Warranty exclusions
Manufacturer warranties commonly exclude damage or failure resulting from:
- Accident, misuse, abuse, neglect or improper handling;
- Improper installation, cabling, power, ventilation or environmental conditions;
- Unauthorized modification, repair, firmware or configuration;
- Electrical surge, liquid, fire, extreme temperature or other external cause;
- Normal wear, cosmetic damage or consumable components;
- Use outside published specifications; or
- Removal or alteration of serial-number or warranty labels.
The manufacturer’s actual terms determine whether a claim is covered.
5. Shipping and replacement costs
Responsibility for shipping, insurance, duties and replacement costs depends on the manufacturer’s or distributor’s warranty programme. The customer may be responsible for shipping an item to the designated service location unless applicable law or the relevant warranty provides otherwise.
Replacement products may be new, refurbished or functionally equivalent according to manufacturer policy. A temporary replacement or loaner is not included unless expressly agreed in writing.
6. Data and configuration responsibility
Warranty service may erase data, reset configurations or replace the original device. Before returning equipment, maintain current backups and securely remove confidential information where practical. TEKYHOST is not responsible for data, credentials or configurations stored on returned equipment except where a separate written service agreement expressly provides otherwise.
7. Software, licences and subscriptions
Software, cloud services, licences and subscriptions do not normally include a hardware-style warranty. Their support, updates, service levels and remedies are governed by the applicable vendor terms and purchased support entitlement.
Review our Software, Licensing and Subscription Terms for additional details.
8. Vendor support versus TEKYHOST services
A manufacturer’s warranty or vendor support entitlement does not automatically include TEKYHOST installation, configuration, migration, monitoring, administration, onsite service or ongoing troubleshooting. Those services must be expressly included with the product or purchased under a separate quotation, managed-service agreement or support plan.
9. Products purchased elsewhere
TEKYHOST may offer paid consulting or support for products purchased from another seller, subject to compatibility, access, vendor eligibility and an agreed scope. We cannot administer another seller’s return or warranty obligation unless separately authorized.
10. Statutory rights
This policy does not limit warranties, remedies or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable legislation.
